Welcome Cake
2 egg whites, unbeaten
Dash of salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract (optional)
1 baked 13x9x" yellow cake, white, or devil's food cake, cooled
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp. milk
Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Add sugar, 2 tbsps. at a time, beating after each addition until sugar is blended. Then continue beating until mixture will stand in peaks. Add flavoring and blend.
Boy, times have changed.
