Don't Eat the Grapes

Macaroni Saute

The cookbook says that what makes this dish special is saute the macaroni before you mix it all together.

2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup corn oil
3 cups tomato juice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Saute macaroni, onion, green pepper and garlic in hot oil till macaroni turns slightly yellow. Add tomato juice and seasonings; bring to boiling. Cover and simmer 20 min. 6 servings.
