Things Learned during my summer vacation
September 15th, 2008
The State of New York takes entirely too long to cross lengthwise, and should probably be shortened to save time.
The Airline Highway is a bit of a nightmare in heavy rains.
Inflation has increased two weeks of 1987 time so now it’s equivalent to three and a half months in 2008 time.
Half of the schools I attended are now closed and slightly more haunted looking than when I was there oh those many years ago.
My wife thinks buying the now defunct Willow Street School as a vacation home is insane as it would take forever to clean - but that’s probably not the real reason she or any sane person might oppose such a scheme.
I still think everyone on the road is a tourist except for me.
